I think I got my whole family represented this week! Not a bad way to kick off the New Year and my 365 project. And here are the photos for each day, with some commentary on what was going on…

We had the Christmas celebration for my side of the family on New Years day this year. After dinner and opening presents, Uncle Scott made the boys sit down and watch the Princess Bride for the first time. They initially resisted, but of course the story pulled them in quickly. My favorite part was when Westley and the Princess Bride were kissing at the end and Gavin yells, “They’re biting each other!!!”

Carter and I headed to the grocery store after an appointment to grab ready made pizza dough so we could make mini pizzas for dinner. The line at the store was longer than I have EVER seen, so I called an audible and ushered us home to make a homemade pizza dough instead. It was a lot more fun to make and probably a lot better for us too, plus it tasted amazing.

This new year has been all about closet and pantry demo and install. The boys closets were falling apart and I have always hated our pantry and the Container Store was having a huge sale, so off I went to design new systems. Angela helped me demo and install the hard parts of Carter’s closet, I demo’d and installed Gavin’s closet all on my own and today I asked Jeremy for some help demo’ing the pantry (it was late, I was tired and not so smart about how I was going about it).

Always chasing the light. I was eating lunch and noticed the shadows on the floor of the chairs, so I played around a little to get this selfie.

It has been cold this week. As in not getting above freezing for probably five days and every time I let Mazy outside, I have to step onto the deck with her to get her to go. So when she was coming back in tonight, I noticed the deck light illuminating her and loved the look.

On frozen pond …the coldest I saw was 16 and this is what happens to our pond when we see those temperatures for this long.

We got to visit with this little peanut today! I think little baby Madelyn is the cutest Seahawks fan I have ever seen. And oh the baby snuggles. And the baby smell. She is so sweet and precious and Ijustwanttoloveherup!!!! Got some pictures of her with her family that I will do in a separate post, but this was my favorite of just her in all over her cuteness!
