We have this big beautiful Japanese Maple right outside our kitchen window and one morning while I was doing dishes, I noticed how some of the bright red leaves had fallen and accumulated within the base branches. Of course I had to grab my camera to see what I could get. The color is absolutely stunning this year – we have truly had such a long and magnificent fall. Sadly the wind and rain this last week have taken the majority of the leaves down and what’s left is likely going to get pounded out by the storms forecast for this next week.
