Oh Mondays, you are my least favorite day of the week. Especially after not seeing my child for three days and Mondays mean that I have to work and not see him for a fourth day.
Our weekend was spectacular. We truly had a wonderful time exploring the city, relaxing, and consuming some seriously good food. While we thoroughly enjoyed our grown-up time together, every day was sprinkled with funny little things that reminded us of Carter. We did realize that we needed to make sure that we took time for just us too, as our lives are only going to get crazier once the next little boy arrives.
Speaking of the next little boy – this kid moves. I woke up around 3am last night and I swear he was doing cartwheels inside of me, trying to bust out either side at once. I do not remember Carter being this active, but I looked back at some old entries and um, he was. This is going to be an adventure for sure.
Carter did really well without us, in fact, I think we missed him more than he missed us. He loved spending his time with Nikki, who was awesome with entertaining him and taking care of him – even to the point of wanting to sleep in the same room right by him so if he woke up in the middle of the night, she could help. SO Sweet! Grandma had a tough night Friday night with him, but it was much better on Saturday night when she figured out he would crash better sleeping in the rocking chair. Overall, they survived the weekend and Grandma and Grandpa are still providing our childcare (thank goodness!)!
