I came to the realization the other day that I have NOT been very good about taking photos lately. Could be that I have been slaving away in my yard for about three weeks straight and I am tired, could be something else. Regardless, I am going to try to make it more of a priority this weekend and see if I can come up with anything good.
Carter has been doing some really interesting things lately. Big notables are that he can walk backwards really well. That doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but think about the coordination that takes to not constantly bite the dust. He understands when a book is upside down and will right it. He points to things when you ask him where they are (kitty, ladybug, etc) and is really getting into understanding the pictures, not just flipping the pages. We are still working on nose, but he does point to his ear, eyes, mouth, cheek, and his head (which he pats) when you ask him where everything is.
“Wow” and “YAH” continue to be his favorite words. The latest fun one has been “Cuckoo” when we laugh and call each other crazy. He still goes overboard on the “EEEEE!!!!” when he wants something – driving with him is starting to become, um, less than pleasant. He want the sunroof open, the sunglasses holder down, then up, then down … all told by “EEEEEEEEE” as loud as he can and pointing.
There is so much more that I am forgetting about … it will have to wait until another day. In the meantime, here are some photos of Carters first swim lesson that I didn’t have a chance to post until now (From April 25th):
