Such a busy weekend for us – we celebrated Easter Brunch with the Halbert side of the family on Saturday. Some yummy food, great company, an egg hunt to kick off the festivities, and finally coloring the eggs. Then on Easter Sunday we headed over to my side of the family for Easter dinner and my mom’s birthday.
An early birthday surprise with a yummy chocolate cake!
Carter tried practicing with an already cracked egged to see if he could easily put the eggs in and out of the coloring. Um, and that would be a negative … but he still had a blast practicing.
The looks that we get from Gavin absolutely crack me up!
Easter morning … and another crazy look. I wish I could photograph all of the silliness we get from this kid!
The Easter bunny didn’t go too overboard this year … a couple of toys they had to check out, a small bunny, and then they were off hunting their eggs!
SO excited for another Lego set … and the Easter bunny left money this year in some of the eggs!
We had to unload at one point because they ran out of room in their baskets!
We got our inner baker going this year with this crazy Williams Sonoma Bunny Cake. It was a total joint effort for Jeremy and I and the end result was AWESOME! They boys ate bunny cake for breakfast (that was the part we had to cut off in order to push the two halves together).
Second year in a row that we had an outdoor egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa’s. The weather was decent (not rainy or freezing), so we enjoyed what we could!
And another face…
All in all it was a really fun weekend! The boys were exhausted from all the hunting, time with friends and cousins, and the fun that we had.
