It was cold yesterday.  Cold as in “I really need to leave a sweater at work cause I am freezing” cold.  And hot soup for lunch didn’t warm me up, cold.  Then early this morning a storm blew in.  As I was getting ready for work, I could hear the wind whistling over the roof of the house.  On my commute in, there were garbage cans overturned in the neighborhood and lids blowing down the street.  But the topper was that there was a tree down on the highway.  Ahhh, fall.

This weekend we are back to the cabin, but this time we are taking the teens with us.  After re-connecting this summer, I thought it would be fun to take my niece Melissa (14), and cousins Gabrielle (16) and Steven (15) away for a weekend at the cabin.  Figured if the weather isn’t nasty, we would hit Oktoberfest in Leavenworth on Saturday.  I really want to get some Autumn photos too – I have been neglecting my camera way too much.  I am borrowing Scotts 16-35mm f/2.8L lens to try out.  Not that I can afford that lens, but I am curious to see if I would use a wide angle and if that should be my next investment!
