All the presents are wrapped. I have completed the necessary grocery shopping for Christmas Eve Brunch. I made two loaves of English Egg Bread this morning to use in the French Toast Casserole that I will be baking tomorrow. Carter is FINALLY TAKING A NAP after two days in a row of missing them. Yeah, I think we are finally off to a good start!
I have some additional prep work to do on the Amish Breakfast Casserole (cook the bacon and onion, shred the cheeses) so that all I have to do is throw things together tomorrow and put it in the oven to cook. I am going to attempt home made cinnamon rolls in the morning as well – keep your fingers crossed that those work out too. I forgot how much “fun” using yeast is when you aren’t used to working with it! We need to get the house picked up and the table set and that is pretty much it. Thankfully I have been picking things off at a slow and steady pace, so we are not running around like chickens with our heads cut off.
In the meantime, Carter is back to his “Mommy” phase which I am SO LOVING. This morning it was all about keeping me close so that he could come hug me. Best. Present. Possible.
Everything was amazing and so enjoyable. Thank you so much. You are an amazing hostess.
