Our February trip couldn’t have come sooner. So much snow around here – we had been house bound for almost two weeks … we were all ready to get the heck out.
We flew in late Tuesday night, managed to get to our hotel easily to meet up with Jeremy. He had to travel to Las Vegas for a conference and we tagged along. That meant he worked all day while we played, but then he could meet up with us for dinners in the evening. On the trip there I figured out how to do in camera double exposures so the boys were having fun with it. We got our typical tram ride shot and then Vegas lights at night from the airplane.
Wednesday the boys were on a mission. They wanted go to the M&M store, the Hershey Store … basically anything with sugar and they were in. So we got up, headed to Starbucks and then hit the shops right as they opened.
After getting a proper amount of sugar purchased before lunchtime, we thought it would be a good idea to walk around a bit and find a lunch spot. The boys learned that you can see ANYONE in Vegas.
For the afternoon we went to the Marvel S.T.A.T.I.O.N. to check out all the cool stuff they have. We randomly ran into another fourth grader at the boys school there.
After having fun pretending to be a superhero, we met up with Jeremy for dinner at The Black Tap, which has AMAZING milkshakes & burgers. You know, because the kids haven’t had enough sugar, haha. We headed to see Mystere where we had awesome seats and got to watch acrobats fly over us. The kids loved the show and it was magical to hear their joy and laughter at all the fantastical things throughout the show.
And because we came to Vegas to get away from the snow they had their first snow in forever. Big white fluffy flakes were coming down when we came out of the show. It was pretty spectacular with all the Vegas lights.
