The crazy stimulation from sights and sounds started to catch up with us today. Our original plan was to head to the top of the Eiffel Tower to get an awesome view of the city after grabbing some breakfast, but when we went to get tickets it was closed due to snow. While it was a mix of rain and snow on ground level, waaaaaay up in the air it was snowing like crazy. So unfortunately we had to postpone.

Without going into a lot of detail, sensory overload came into play early today and our backup plan to mini golf got thwarted. You forget Vegas is so bright, so loud and so … much. We ended up taking a walk outside to go grab lunch at the Shake Shack to regroup. Once we were there, we decided to continue on to the aquarium at Mandalay Bay.

The quiet of the aquarium is really what we all needed. It was so cool to see the sharks, the alligators getting fed and the giant turtle. We sat in this fully enclosed glass area for probably an hour and just watched all the sea life swim around us.

Once we were done there, we headed over to Excalibur to scout out where the dinner and show was that night. Jeremy met us there and we enjoyed watching a king rise, knights compete with swords and jousting and the boys enjoy a glimpse of medieval times.
