Every year since I turned forty I have been getting together with a phenomenal group of women for a mammogram party. Overlake Hospital invites groups of women in and serves beer or wine, cheese, crackers and desserts while you wait with your friends and one by one you are called back to get your mammogram. It is honestly the most enjoyable way you can have this experience and I am so grateful for these ladies and the fun we shared this night.

Our one year neighborhood book club anniversary! I have so enjoyed seeing these ladies each month, not to mention reading and discussing some very interesting books along the way. Looking forward to the next year! 

Day 347 | December 13, 2018

All the fun stuff seems to happen while Jeremy is traveling. So what seemed like an insurmountable writing assignment was made much better by brainstorming an outline together and then letting him write it on a laptop. Carter detests hand writing anything and his handwriting is fairly illegible since he rushes through it as fast as he can to get it over with. If he can type something out, he will slow down and actually take his time and produce quality work. Guess this will be the fun thing we get to deal with as he gets older, but lucky for him most things end up needing to be typed out.

And Christmas wrapping has begun! Trying to get things done earlier this year, so first wave of gifts are getting wrapped.

Gavin’s first basketball game as a seven year old and these kids have improved so much in the last year. Gavin scored his first basket in a game ever and he was so excited after making it. I am looking forward to seeing how they progress this season! (Gavin is in the white jersey, defending the guy with the ball)

Every time I make our bed I am interrupted by this creature. She thinks it is fun to try to burrow under the covers as I try to smooth them out.
