So I learned the hard way that Gavin learned a new trick.
Enter last week: Jeremy was working a little later than normal. I had a hard day. I poured a glass of red wine took a sip, sighed that sigh of relief and felt the edge of dealing with two little boys slowly starting to come off.
Then Carter needed a new shirt because he spilled water on his. I put my glass down on the kitchen table and ran upstairs to get him one.
When I came back, there was Gavin, standing up on a chair at the table, happily playing in spilled red wine. While I screamed, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” he was grinning from ear to ear, slapping his hand in the liquid, then licking it.
Sadly I contemplated trying to scoop the wine on the table back into my glass because THAT WAS THE LAST GLASS OF RED WINE IN THAT BOTTLE. Even more sadly, I gave up and just mopped everything up. WHEN DID THAT KID LEARN TO CLIMB THE CHAIRS?!?!
