It has been almost two and a half weeks now that I have had to have my act together every single morning. I know, I know, most of you with older kids have had to do this every school year now for awhile, but me … nope. Carter was only in two days worth of preschool last year. I only had to worry about getting kids out of the house on time two days a week.

Then we have this year. EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. Carter is in his pre-K class Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and then the boys have swim lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Uh yeah, this has been an interesting adjustment. The first week was a disaster with Carter not wanting to stay at school to Gavin screaming and crying the entire swim lesson both days. But after two weeks, we are more or less rockin’ it. Carter LOVES his school and it is never a fight to get him there (whereas last year it was). And Gavin went from screaming the entire lesson to asking when we get to go swimming again. Total night and day turn around for him!

And since this blog is also my own personal running record for them – In two short weeks Carter went from being completely freaked out about putting his face in the water to practicing it all by himself as he waits for his turn with the instructor. And Gavin went from holding on with a straight arm onto the bar at the edge (so he was barely in the water), to swimming around in little circles while he waits for his turn. I seriously cannot believe the difference for both of them in these lessons. And I could not be more proud!
