Why This Photo:
We had my family over for a fathers day barbeque on Sunday and this is a great photo capturing my dad, wicked grin devising some plot or another for his next adventure. I am pretty sure he had a great time with all his kids and grandkids, but it also helped that he had a couple of beers from our keg in there too, haha.
Challenges/Lessons Learned:
In the series of shots I took of my dad, this was the one where the smile went all the way to his eyes and he didn’t look like he was tolerating another photo (you know I am going to get an earful on that one). My dad is the one that got me hooked on photography and one of my lessons learned from him is that when you are the photographer, you have very few photos of yourself. I hope that he feels this one does justice to what a great dad he is by teaching me so much about photography. Happy Fathers Day!
I am blessed in every way, but especially my kids and grandkids. Your photographic talents have progressed to a very high level. You might consider going pro at some time. Thank you for the flattering photo and comments. – Dad –
