Carter has been stringing words together like mad here lately. This morning we were doing his giant ABC puzzle and he turns to me and goes, “Mommy, sing it” and I sang him the ABC song.

But the best sentence so far came a little earlier this morning. After he wakes up, I have been snuggling a little on the couch with him before he starts his crazy-active day. Usually I hug him and say, “I love you” a bunch of times and he just pushes me off, giving me the “Yeah, whatever” look.  This morning was a different story. After I hugged him and told him I loved him, he turned to me and grabbed my arm and pulled it close again and said, “Mommy, I love you.”

      Heart. Melt.
