Today I am thankful for Grandparents. We received the sad news that Jeremy’s Grandfather passed away today. While I only met him a handful of times and wish I had the opportunity to have gotten to know him better, Grandpa Tracy’s passing made me reflect on how important the role of a Grandparent is within our lives. They are a window into where our family comes from and they have shaped the people who have come after them. I know that my parents made specific decisions based on my grandparents different influences and I know that I make specific decisions based on my parents different influences on me. And I know some day my boys will make those same types of decisions based off of our influences. It’s those subtleties’ that shape a family from generation to generation and bind a unique tie.
We will miss you Grandpa Tracy, Rest In Peace.
