I finished up the Christmas shopping and most of the wrapping yesterday.  Three hours of wrapping!  And we still have Carters gifts to do.  Jeremy gets to help with the rest ;-)

On Monday I got back on my training program.  I am prepping to run the Mercer Island Half Marathon and need to get back into shape.  It is amazing how long it takes to get into shape and how quickly you loose it – I honestly don’t think that is fair.  This morning I ran four miles in the freezing cold weather just after sunrise.  It was lovely outside – the sky was pink and the morning was so still.  I am glad I did it and I always feel so much better after a run.

We are trying to figure out some new holiday traditions for this year.  We are having grandma and grandpa over for a mellow dinner where I am going to try this Chicken and Dumplings recipe.  I wanted something to slow cook all day and this sounded interesting!  I am going to pick up a “Twas the Night Before Christmas” book so that we can read it to Carter tomorrow night.

Of course Christmas morning wouldn’t be the same without some sort of breakfast feast.  I found a recipe for Popovers that reminded me of our honeymoon and the restaurant at Jordan Pond that was known for its Popovers.  I am also going to make a Cinnamon Honey Butter to go with them – should be nummy!  And you can’t just have one thing for breakfast, so Jeremy is going to make a coffee cake as well.  Maybe he will let Carter try a little bit :)

In the meantime, here are two photos that I worked on in Lightroom last night.

I don’t know what ‘Light Room" does, but the photos are awesome.
