Wow, this week has flown by. I cannot believe that we have already been in our new place for a full week (and a few days!). There are moments when it really feels like home and then moments where I am struck by the sudden, “This is so bizarre” kind of feeling.

I think we FINALLY made it through all of the kitchen boxes – had the last one come in yesterday to put away. And I still have cupboard space to spare! The kids rooms are unpacked, our master closet is at about 85% unpacked and I will need to do a “steam refresh” cycle on most of our clothes to get the wrinkles out. They are looking pretty bad from being stored for a few months. The master bath is about half done and I still need to tackle the linen closets.

Jeremy put away most of the dining room china yesterday morning and I finally got the family room put together and cleaned up. The bonus room is still a disaster of toys, but we bought a wall storage system for everything and I just need to buy the baskets to put in the cupboards and cubby’s and we should be good. I was able to move the majority of our holiday decorations into the attic space, which is huge and runs along side of the bonus room under the roof there. I didn’t realize it was so big! There is still a long list of what needs to still be done, but I can’t believe that we have made as much progress as we have.

I also went on the annual “Me and Mom Flower Trip” where we purchase the rest of our missing plants to fill out our yards. I bought a ton of veggies and herbs for our garden this year. Hoping everything grows, we will have green, red, and jalapeno peppers, cucumbers, tons of tomatoes, green beans, peas, corn, and I am sure I am missing some items too. We also have tons of berries that came with the house – something like 7 blueberry bushes, tons of raspberries, strawberries, cherries, and filbert nuts. This summer is going to be all about cooking with fresh stuff!

Now I just need the get the time to plant everything…
